Welcome to the
colorful world of Loomatiques!

Who we are

Loomatiques is a London based, nationwide collection of portable looms and textile/fibre art resources. Created and managed by Paris Honyben a seasoned Creative Project Manager and Workshop Facilitator with 25 years experience in delivering creative opportunities and therapeutic sessions within challenging circumstances. Such as mental health, looked after children, NEETs, long term unemployed and the criminal justice sector (Prisons, Probation and Forensic Mental Health). 

We work with Rob Stanfield from NVT CIC (Norfolk Vintage Trust Community Interest Company) - a community wooden boat building and boat restoration organisation which engages volunteers local to the Norfolk Broads. Rob builds and constructs ancient and contemporary looms as well as rescuing and rebuilding them.

His 30 years as an authentic ancient woodworking enthusiast combined with a life long career in wooden boat restoration has provided him with the tools, insight and skills to engineer looms in an instinctive way. Working in combination Loomatiques and NVT CIC are able to provide a historic learning journey from ‘Tree-to-Weave”
